Environmental Stewardship

MarathonNorco Aerospace (MNAI) strives to be at the forefront of environmental stewardship and sustainable development.  MNAI seeks to fully comply with regulations, laws, directives and voluntary targets concerning safety, health, and the environment.

MNAI’s Environmental Management System (EMS) complies with ISO 14001 and provides a mechanism for environmental management throughout all areas and departments: starting at the point of entry of raw materials and energy, to the point of exit of finished products, goods, or services. The EMS has been established to control, monitor, and reduce the environmental impacts associated with design, manufacturing, assembly, and repair of aircraft: 1) batteries, 2) struts, 3) hold-open rods, 4) other mechanical devices, 5) battery chargers; all for both military and commercial application. The EMS is designed to address environmental aspects which MNAI can directly control and manage and those it does not directly control and manage, but can be expected to influence and mitigate the associated impact(s).

We will, therefore, manage our processes, our materials, and our people, in order to reduce the environmental impacts associated with our industry.

      • Investigate the reduction of hazardous and toxic chemicals.
      • Reduce, reuse, repurpose, and recycle waste, packaging, and raw materials.
      • Improve the efficiency of energy usage, reduce energy waste, and optimize/ use the lowest cost energy inputs.
      • Conserve natural resources.
